Repairing Furniture vs. Buying New Furniture

"Can you fix this sofa"? Surprisingly, the first question we hear isn't "how much" to fix their broken furniture. It's "when can we schedule"?

With reports of luxury furniture retailer RH (Restoration Hardware) reporting a 2nd decline in quarterly sales, consumers are holding off on replacing furniture in favor of making it last longer.

For instance, new sofas are usually equipped with standard-density (builder grade) foam rubber unless the salesperson recommends an upgrade to a firmer or specialty cushion, a'la down feathers or memory foam. These standard foam inserts used for seat cushions may only last weeks before sagging or sinking.

Our replacement sofa cushion sales at Furniture Emergency have continually increased since the lockdowns and show no signs of slowing. Only supply issues hindered production.

Sofa cushion replacement foam and back cushion dacron filler can not only make your furniture sit like new, but prevent frame wear of wooden frame & steel coils which can wear out or fail with worn out seat foam.

So next time you plop down to watch the game or binge-stream on your favorite sofa, take note of your comfort and decide if new couch cushions are right for you.
